How do Macaulay duration, modified duration, effective duration, and DV01 fit together?
I can memorize separate definitions, but when they appear together I lose the map. Sometimes one looks like a percentage sensitivity, sometimes one is in years, and then DV01 suddenly appears in currency terms. I need one integrated explanation instead of four isolated flash cards.
